COALINGA – The Coalinga College women's volleyball team improved to 6-2 on the season after a pair of non-conference wins at home on Wednesday.

The Falcons opened the three-way event with a 23-25, 25-18, 25-17, 28-26 win over Cerro Coso College and closed the day with a 25-14, 25-21, 25-12 sweep of San Jose City College.

Amber Cerny had a huge match in the win against Cerro Coso. She landed an impressive 13 aces, totaled 16 kills, and had 14 digs. Aurora Sotelo also had 16 kills and contributed 11 digs and a block while Jenna Vogt added 10 kills and 17 assists.

Cerny again led Coalinga against SJCC with 10 kills. Sotelo had 6 kills and 12 digs, while Jazlyn Perez had a team-best 14 assists.

Coalinga has won three straight matches and is back in action on Saturday (Sep. 13) when the Falcons head to Allan Hancock College for a pair of non-conference matches.
