MODESTO – Amber Cerny totaled a season-high 29 digs to go along with 11 kills to help lead the Coalinga College women's volleyball team to a 3-0 sweep of Folsom Lake College as part of a three-way event at Modesto Junior College on Friday.

The Falcons' victory salvaged a split of the day's action. Earlier, Coalinga suffered a 3-1 loss to host Modesto.

The Falcons earned their first sweep of the season, winning by scores of 28-26, 25-18, and 25-21. Aurora Sotelo led with 16 kills and 5 aces while also collecting 10 digs in the contest. Natalie Walsh posted 13 assists and 4 digs and Jenna Vogt had 11 assists, 9 digs, and 4 kills.

Coalinga had a tougher time with Modesto in an 18-25, 25-16, 25-16, 25-22 loss. Cerny once again starred with 20 digs, 11 kills, and 4 aces. Kinnedy Miller posted 9 kills and Sotelo had 7 kills to go with 8 digs.

Kambri Mckeeman contributed 13 digs and Vogt led with 12 assists.

Coalinga moved to 4-2 overall after the day's matches. The Falcons return to the court on Wednesday (Sep. 10) when they host Cerro Coso College (1 p.m.) and San Jose City College (5 p.m.) in a pair of non-conference matches.
