COALINGA – The 2025 Coalinga College football season got off to a rough start as the Falcons suffered a 42-3 loss to visiting Feather River College on a hot Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium.

The Falcons couldn't get much going on offense. Eight of Coalinga's drives resulted in punts back to Feather River. The Falcons trailed 14-0 at halftime.

Coalinga had a tough time stopping the rush. FRC was relentless on the ground and ran the ball 37 times for 453 yards.

Quarterback Justyn Delzeit completed 12 of 27 passes for 128 yards for the Falcons. Demarion Wright led Coalinga on the ground with 12 carries for 84 yards while Khalif Bloom led with 6 catches for 53 yards.

Coalinga will look to turn things around next Saturday (Sep. 6) when the Falcons travel to Los Medanos College in Pittsburg for a 1 p.m. non-conference game. Coalinga will play its next two on the road before returning home on Sep. 20 to host Chabot College.
