Coalinga College has named Genesis Barrera from the softball team, Jaydian Chavira of baseball, and Kristian Graham from men's basketball its Student-Athletes of the Month for January.

Genesis Barrera has continued to settle into her role on the mound and is starting to find her voice and place on the team. She's shown improved confidence and composure, and her development has been noticeable as the season progresses. She posted a strong 2.30 ERA during the month of January, reflecting her effectiveness and consistency.

Jaydian Chavira, Baseball (Sophomore, Pitcher, Madera, CA / Madera HS)
The season got off to a very strong start for sophomore and pitching staff leader Jaydian Chavira. During the month of January, he fired 10 innings of 2 run baseball, with a perfect 0.00 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP. He has struck out twice as many as he has walked (6K/3BB), and even picked up the first win of the season for the Falcons on January 29th.

Kristian Graham, Men's Basketball (Freshman, Guard/Wing, Houston, TX / Morton Ranch HS)
Kristian Graham has been a key offensive spark for the Falcons this season, and that momentum continued through the month of January. Averaging over 10 points per game in conference play, Kristian consistently provided energy and scoring when the team needed it most. As the Falcons enter the second half of conference, Kristian looks poised to elevate his game even further and continue making a strong impact on both ends of the floor.
