Coalinga College would like to congratulate its Student-Athletes of the Week, Rudy Amaya from the baseball team and softball’s Rylie Williams!

Rudy Amaya, Baseball (Sophomore, Pitcher, Lemoore HS / Lemoore, CA)
Rudy’s gritty pitching performance against #2 ranked Fresno City gave the falcons a chance to win the game late and stay in it throughout. He tossed 5 1/3 innings while only allowing 7 hits and 2 earned runs to one of the best teams in the country. Rudy generated soft contact and bad swings throughout.

Rylie Williams, Softball (Sophomore, Outfield, Exeter Union HS / Exeter, CA)
Rylie put together a strong and disciplined week at the plate, hitting .333 with two hits and an RBI while posting a .429 on-base percentage. She consistently competed in her at-bats, recording a high quality at-bat rate and helping create opportunities for her team offensively.
