Coalinga College would like to congratulate its Student-Athletes of the Week, Alexis Espinoza from the softball team and baseball’s Tanner Tammarine!

Alexis Espinoza, Softball (Sophomore, Pitcher/Outfield, Eleanor Roosevelt HS / Riverside, CA)
Alexis delivered a strong performance in the circle, throwing 109 pitches against 35 batters with a 3.00 ERA to lead her team to a win over Merced. She consistently generated pop-ups and ground balls, allowing her defense to stay active and make plays behind her.

Tanner Tammarine, Baseball (Freshman, Pitcher, Leileihua HS / Wahaiwa, HI)
Tanner had a dominant week on the mound coming out of the bullpen, amassing 6 innings and scattering 4 hits and 1 earned run though his two outings. The shining moment this week was his 4 inning shutout performance on Saturday where he earned the win. His work extended the game into the 10th inning, where the Falcons eventually won in walk-off fashion.
