Coalinga College would like to congratulate its Student-Athletes of the Week, Teruki Kato from the baseball team and softball’s Olivia Marsing!

Teruki Kato, Baseball (Sophomore, Outfielder, University Sapporo HS / Tokai, Japan)
Teruki, a sophomore business major, had a solid series against Fresno City College. The Rams have one of the best pitching staffs in the state, but they couldn't hold Kato down. Teruki hit .545 (6 for 11) with 2 RBIs, 2 runs, and a triple to cap it all off. Off the field, Teruki maintains a 3.8 GPA.

Olivia Marsing, Softball (Freshman, Catcher/Third Base, Ventura HS / Ventura, CA)
Olivia Marsing had an outstanding week at the plate, going 6 for 11 with four home runs and 11 RBIs. Her power and production were a major boost to the offense, consistently driving in runs and making a big impact in key moments. Marsing’s performance helped set the tone for the team and highlighted her ability to deliver in big situations.
