Coalinga College would like to congratulate its Student-Athletes of the Week, Izzy Avalos from the softball team, baseball’s Kade Gerboc-Chun, and Daniel Rodriguez of men’s basketball!

Izzy Avalos, Softball (Freshman, Catcher/Utility, East Union HS / Manteca, CA)
Izzy Avalos put together an impressive performance this week, highlighted by a home run that generated crucial runs for her team. She continues to be a reliable presence in the lineup, currently batting .333 with 12 RBIs.

Kade Gerboc-Chun, Baseball (Freshman, Catcher, Faith Lutheran HS / Manoa, HI)
In the Falcons stunning series win against Reedley, Kade was 7-for-14 at the plate with 3 doubles and 3 RBI as the designated hitter. He provided big hits for the offense all weekend, while also adding in a run and a stolen base.

Daniel Rodriguez, Men’s Basketball (Sophomore, Guard, Robert F. Kennedy HS / Delano, CA)
Daniel has been a consistent contributor both on and off the court. Whether he’s knocking down three-pointers, converting free throws, or playing strong team defense, he continues to make a big impact. Despite battling through injuries and being a primary focus of opposing defenses, Daniel has shown resilience and determination. He is also on track to complete his degree at the end of the semester, demonstrating the same commitment in the classroom as he does in competition.
