WHCC Falcons fights back, defeats COS, 7-6

With the score tied at one in the sixth inning, Alondra Zavala came to the plate and singled, scoring Dayzia Knight.

Zavala was solid at the plate for COS. Zavala went 2-5, drove in one and scored two runs.

Hannah Martell paced WHCC Falcons at the plate. Martell went 2-3 and scored two runs. She singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Even though Martell allowed six runs over nine innings she still recorded the victory. Martell struck out two, walked none and gave up 13 hits.

Angelina Vaca couldn't get it done on the rubber for COS, taking a loss. She lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed four runs.

The top of the first saw COS take an early lead, 1-0. After Adrienne Cachusingled, Josey Burke doubled, plating Cachu.

WHCC Falcons answered COS' top inning with one run of its own in the first. WHCC Falcons scored on.

WHCC Falcons never surrendered the lead after the sixth inning, scoring two runs on an RBI single by Chase Martinez.

After a quick strike from COS, WHCC Falcons responded with two runs in the ninth. WHCC Falcons scored on an RBI single by Alex Lovett and an RBI single by Ashley Brown.
