Falcons Ranked No. 11 After Loss

The West Hills College Coalinga basketball team is ranked No. 11 in the latest California Community College Men's Basketball Coaches Association poll, released on Monday.


The Falcons - ranked No. 6 in the North - recently had their eight-game winning streak snapped, falling 90-85 at Mt. San Jacinto last Friday.

WHCC (8-2) will complete the non-conference season at El Camino College in Torrance on Saturday, Dec. 30.

The Central Valley Conference season starts on Wednesday, Jan. 3, when the Falcons travel to Reedley College. Currently, the CVC has three teams ranked in the state's Top 20: No. 3 Fresno (11-3) and No. 14 Sequoias (9-4).
