The West Hills Falcons faced a Los Medanos team that was 1-0, a Yuba team that was 2-0, and now must travel to 3-0 Merced to start the Golden Coast League schedule on Saturday.
WHCC (1-1) has won the GLC three years in a row, but this may be the most talented Merced Blue Devil team in recent years.
Merced has started the 2017 season outscroing opponents, 107-32, including two road wins.
"Merced is the best team we have faced yet," said WHCC head coach Justin Berna.
"They have a well-coached, very phsyical team. It will be a tough challenge for us."
The Falcons followed a 34-28 loss to Los Medanos (3-0) with a convincing 34-10 victory last week at Yuba (2-1).
Berna said the team accomplished its goal of playing solid for all four quarters.
"I was happy with the way we traveled," he said.
"After a long road trip, it was good to see our focus during the bus ride - and it carried over to our pregame warm-ups and our mentality from kickoff until the end of the game. The offense overcame some penalties and turned good scoring drives into touchdowns, and our defense was awesome."
