2019 WHCC Baseball Season Starts With Cabrillo Series

The West Hills College Coalinga Falcons baseball team opens the 2019 campaign with a three-game series against Cabrillo College.

The Falcons travel to Los Aptos on Friday (Jan. 25) for a 2 p.m. game - then will host the Seahawks on Saturday (Jan. 26) for a doubleheader starting at 11 a.m. in Coalinga.

WHCC head coach Jason Smith has scheduled the CCCAA-maximum of 40 games this season - including nine home non-conference dates, in addition to the 10 Central Valley Conference home games.

The non-conference schedule includes Cabrillo, Monterey Peninsula, Gavilan, Butte, Antelope Valley College, San Francisco, Mendocino, Compton and West Los Angeles.

The 2019 baseball program consists of 35 student-athletes: 16 freshmen, 14 sophomores, and five redshirts. Assistants Eric Graley and Tim Culver also return to the coaching staff.
