Chad Borkey is entering his first season as an assistant coach for West Hills College.

Before joining the coaching staff at West Hills College, Coach Borkey was a assistant basketball coach at Fresno City College for two years.  While as an assistant at FCC, the Rams compiled a record of 62-16, won two Central Valley Conference Championships, appeared in two California State Final Eights, and won the California Community College State Championship in 2007.

In 2008, Coach Borkey was involved with the 1% Club, a summer basketball program that trains elite high school and college players.

Coach Borkey has worked extensively on summer basketball programs and camps.  In 2007 and 2008, Coach Borkey helped organize and set up Fresno City College’s summer league.  He also refereed the varsity summer league games.

Chad Borkey has also been involved in coaching and refereeing at two different Boys and Girls Clubs in the Fresno area.  Coach Borkey has worked closely with other Fresno basketball coaches to help teach the local youth the game of basketball.

Coach Borkey began coaching basketball in 1997 at the Shasta College summer youth camps in his hometown of Burney, California.  For the next four years, Coach Borkey taught fundamentals and assisted in player development.
